NASHVILLE TO NYC TO WHO KNOWS WHERE

It's time for a big update!

Well, we got to go to Nashville for a while, which was awesome! We saw our precious niece, Audrey...





and hung out with the fam!





Whit got to stay a little longer, and we went to Houston to NASA for the day. We rode in the simulator and we got to land the shuttle!









Too bad my camera died, or there would have been lots more pictures... sad. When Whit met back up with Jack, we went to NYC! We rode the subway...





ate at the best Soho restaurant, Cafe Habana (thanks, Christa!)



We found a little bookstore...



went to Magnolia Bakery to eat some famous delicious cupcakes!





went to FAO Schwartz, where they have a Harry Potter section..





and an Ugly Doll section (this one's for you, Emily!) Tracy was upset about something. Who knows.



It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!





We were sad the big tree wasn't up yet, but they were setting it up when we were there.



By the end of the night, we ended up in Times Square .. and we were exhausted. But what a day it was in classic NYC!



In Cleveland, we got to go to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame...



then shopping.. we're sooooooooooo excited about Christmas!



We can't stop drinking hot chocolate!

DATES & PARTIES & SUCH

Well, the other day we were actually home in Baytown. So Jack took me on a date... not just any date, a 9-hour date! It was awesome! We went costume shopping..

went to a bookstore..

then to the Melting Pot for dinner...

then shopping - where they were putting up Christmas decorations! We were so excited and listened to Christmas music all night!


After that, we went to a movie.. then to a place called "House of Pies" that's open 24 hours. What a date!

The next night, Leeland and Mandy had a costume wedding shower! Jack and I decided to go as the Tin Man and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.














I think the best costume award goes to Darryl, who came as Hannah Montana.




Now it's getting colder and we're delighted! The Christmas season is coming!!!

THE TOUR (part 2)

So, we're still touring. We finally get to go home tomorrow (for a little while)! Yay! We're ready. Not that we haven't had fun. These pictures show it. Well, Leeland always mistakes me (Whit) for Shelly, so we thought it would be funny to take a picture and see if he could figure out who was who. Can you guess?


Then the guys made a video about their new record that's coming out (release date is February 28th now). The title track is called "Opposite Way," so they thought they'd do everything opposite, such as wearing their clothes inside out. They came up with a rap which was pretty awesome.



He's one good looking guy!


On a more serious note, one day we visited this place called the "Christian Children's Center" in Boise, ID. They had won a radio contest to have lunch with Leeland. The kids who go there are troubled kids or from broken families. There are four houses with "house parents" who become parents to the kids. It's a great place. The kids were so sweet and loved having the Leeland guys there. Going there really shook us up and put things in perspective. Leeland gave them a shout-out at the show that night, and they were the loudest group there. It was awesome!



We had two days off and stopped in Colorado Springs, CO.


We went to "Garden of the Gods." It was really cool.








Of course it wasn't till after we climbed all over the rocks that we saw this sign. But I'm not so sure it would have stopped the boys anyway.



When we got to Amarillo, TX, we went to this great restaurant. We had fun, as you can see.






Most of the time, we're in the tour bus, which can get old from time to time. But then God sends us a little reminder of why we're there in the first place... for his glory.
