Please be praying for my family and I as we travel to Honduras tomorrow. (Jack can't go because he has some shows this weekend, so be praying for him and the band as well). We're going with Samaritan's Purse, a nonprofit Christian relief organization. One of their main projects is collecting and passing out shoeboxes filled with necessities and toys to needy children around the world. It's called Operation Christmas Child. We have the privilege of going to a few villages and handing out the shoeboxes to the children. It's going to be amazing! The best part is that we get to give them gifts, meet their needs, and also share the gospel with them.

CHRISTMAS Part 2

Right before Christmas, we went to New York City! This was me and Mandy's view from our hotel window. Classic New York! And our room was tiny, of course.

It was absolutely unbearably freezing outside. But that didn't stop us from shopping on 5th Ave! We went to FAO Schwartz. Here we are with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid (made out of legos - amazing!)

You can make your own muppet puppets for only $150! Ha yeah right. But they were cool.

Mama Cyndy liked to hail cabs. "Haaayuulll!!!"

Macy's was magical!

Everything is so much more magical with snow.. especially in New York.

We went to Magnolia Bakery, where we got their famous amazing cupcakes! It's all about the icing.

The tree at Rockefeller Center! Ah Home Alone memories...

We went to see Chicago on Broadway. It was amazing! (though a bit hoochy)

Times Square. What a fun trip!!!

We got back home, and on the 23rd, we had our little Christmas at home.

We opened our stockings and half of our gifts to each other. My favorite was this music journal (with sweet notes and scriptures on vintage postcards throughout). My husband is so thoughtful! (and he knows me so well)

That night was Christmas with the family at Todd & Cyndy's. As more people came, the piles of gifts kept growing and growing.

But I was so sad because my camera battery died right before we started the gifts. It was a madhouse! So much fun. I wish I had pictures to show!!

Well, the next day we went to Franklin to celebrate with my family. We were excited to see Audrey's reaction to everything this year. Here she is reading the Bible with my Mom. Adorable!
